When you use in-list Bupa providers, the plan pays 100% of the cost, with no deductible or contributions for you to pay. You pay the tax and NI on the value of the coverage that Pinterest provides to you, which is reported on your annual P11D form. The plan provides for the following:

To help fund a secure and comfortable retirement for you, Pinterest provides you with a Retirement Pension Plan administered by Aviva. This is a retirement savings plan funded by salary sacrifice (also called salary exchange). This means you exchange part of your current cash pay for another benefit. In this case, it means you contribute to the plan through deductions from your pay. As a result, both you and Pinterest pay lower National Insurance Contributions on your reduced salary. You may also pay less income tax, and could increase your take-home pay.
Unless you choose otherwise, Pinterest automatically enrolls you in the plan, with you making contributions of 5% of your base salary. Pinterest also makes a contribution to you account equal to 5% of your base salary.

With a doctor’s certification, if you’re unable to work because of illness or injury, you’ll receive sick pay equal to your full pay during the first 12 weeks, and 75% of your pay during weeks 13-26. If you’re still unable to works, you may receive Group Income Protection benefits.
If you’re unable to work because of illness or injury for longer than the 26 weeks covered by sick pay, you can begin receiving benefits from Group Income Protection through Unum. Pinterest provides this protection at no cost to you.
If your claim is approved, you receive benefits equal to 75% your base pay up to the equivalent of £130,000 per year. To receive benefits over £130,000, you must apply by filling out an online Medical Application Form.
You’ll receive Group Income Protection benefits for as long as you’re unable to work or you reach age 65, whichever comes first.

Your automatic coverage amount is 4x your base salary up to £1,216,000. To receive coverage over £1,216,000, you must apply by filling out an online Medical Application Form.

Returning to work after parental leave can be a big change, which is why we offer a gradual return to work period of four weeks to ensure you have the proper time to ramp up and re-engage in your work. If you choose to not take all 20 weeks continuously, you may choose which leave block you will use the gradual return to work period. If you would like to take a gradual return, this optional form may help you stay organized. Please align on your gradual return schedule at least 1 month before your return to work.
