To help fund a secure and comfortable retirement for you, Pinterest offers you a pension plan administered by Icatu Seguros. If you choose to enroll, you make contributions to your plan account though convenient deductions from your paycheck, which you can place in various investment options offered by the plan.
Each month, Pinterest also matches your contribution up to 2% of your monthly gross base salary for the first $5,000 BRL you earn. For any amount you earn over $5,000 BRL, Pinterest matches up to 5% of your monthly gross base salary.

As described in the Time Off section, Pinterest provides you with 10 paid sick days each calendar year to cover intermittent sick day absences.
In case you can’t work for an extended period because of illness or injury, Pinterest partners with Icatu Seguros to provide you with total or partial disability insurance. This provides you with a lump sum payment due to disability.
The amount of the disability payment you receive is calculated according to a Icatu Seguros “Percentage Table” and is limited to a maximum insured amount described in the insurance plan policy.
Pinterest automatically enrolls you for Life Insurance coverage with Icatu Seguros and pays 100% of the premium for this protection.
The coverage amount is 24x your base monthly salary.

Returning to work after parental leave can be a big change, which is why we offer a gradual return to work period of four weeks to ensure you have the proper time to ramp up and re-engage in your work. This optional program allows you to return to work part-time, working 1-4 days a week with full pay. You may only take one (1) gradual return to work period per birth, adoption or foster care placement. If you choose to not take all 20 weeks continuously, you may choose which leave block you will use the gradual return to work period. If you would like to take a gradual return, this optional form may help you stay organized. Please align on your gradual return schedule at least 1 month before your return to work.
Due to business needs, in some cases, managers may be unable to accommodate your preferred schedule, subject to any accommodation requests provided for in accordance with medical documentation.

You receive 30 consecutive days of vacation a year after your 1st year of working with Pinterest. Pinployee’s must use the 30 days before each work anniversary.
Vacation requests need to be approved by managers at least 30 days in advance and must follow the rules below as per Brazilian law:
We encourage you to take 30 days of vacation annually, but if you are unable, you can sell up to 10 vacation days.
Pinployees are permitted to sell up to a maximum of 10 vacation days per anniversary year (based on an unused vacation balance of 30 days). Vacation selling must be accompanied with an vacation enjoyment period
If you have less than 30 days remaining, you may sell up 1/3 of the remaining balance but the vacation enjoyment period must also comply with all the other requirements (must be at least 5 days, requires a period of 14 days, and no more than 3 periods of vacation total)
Vacation selling request must be documented, through formal request from the Pinployee and approval from the Manager in writing. Please ensure the email specifies the period of vacation and number of days of vacation to sell . Please forward this email request with approval to peoplecare@pinterest.com at least 30 days in advance for processing.
If you’re not feeling well, we encourage you to stay home, rest and get better! You are provided with 10 days of paid sick time per year for use in any intermittent absences. For extended medical absences, please see the Leave of Absence section below.

Pinterest provides 8-weeks for caregiver leave time-off for Pinployees caring for a seriously ill family member or a child under the care of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The first 15 calendar days of an extended medical leave are paid by Pinterest 100% salary, employees must provide medical certification.
